The 4-sentence answer

50L 6″ Mini Lights is a 50-bulb LED mini-light string with 6″ between bulbs and Static (no effect) effect. Total lit length: ~25 ft per string. Built for residential and commercial tree wraps, bush drapes, and architectural mini-light installs. Chain up to 5-7 strings in series per the in-line fuse rating at the supply plug.

Why the 50L 6″ Mini Lights earns its place on the contractor truck

5mm LED mini lights designed for the contractors who install them, not the box stores who sell them. Durable construction, low draw per string, and the kind of consistency that makes wraps look clean from the ground up.

Built for the Job

50 LEDs on 25 feet of green wire. Bulbs spaced 6 inches apart for a tight, uniform look on tree trunks, branches, bushes, columns, and architectural features. The spacing is dialed in for pro wraps — no gaps, no bunching.

Run up to 45 strings end-to-end. Each strand pulls just 4.8 watts, which means longer runs from a single power tap and fewer extension cords cluttering the install. Big trees, long hedge lines, and full property wraps stay on one circuit.

One-piece sealed construction. The bulb and wire are molded as a single unit, so moisture can't migrate into the connection and corrode the contacts. This is the failure point on cheap mini lights — and the reason these last multiple seasons in outdoor conditions.

Virtually unbreakable bulbs. The LED housings won't shatter when a ladder bumps a branch or a string gets dropped on the driveway. Colors won't fade, chip, or crack across seasons of UV exposure.

Up to 50,000-hour rated lifespan. Long enough that the bulbs outlast the wire, the storage routine, and most of the homes they get installed on.

Designed for Speed

Pre-balled for fast wraps. Strings come ready to deploy — no untangling on a customer's lawn at 7 a.m. Pop the ball, anchor the lead, and wrap. Saves 5–10 minutes per tree on a busy install day.

90% less energy than incandescent. Lower draw means more strings per circuit, fewer power taps, and lower seasonal operating costs you can pass on as a selling point to commercial accounts.

UL 588 listed. Safe for indoor and outdoor use, residential and commercial — the listing every legitimate install needs to be on.

Volume install scenarios

Residential tree + bush wraps

The volume pick for residential. Mini-light strings at 50 bulbs per string + 6″ spacing pair well with standard residential tree heights (6-12 ft) and standard bush sizes (3-5 ft round shrubs).

Commercial property accent lighting

Hotels, retail storefronts, HOA landscaping. The Static (no effect) effect adds visual hierarchy without adding controller complexity — the effect is hardware-driven (no separate controller needed).

Hybrid static + effect installs

Mix Static (no effect) strings with static (non-effect) strings on the same tree or property. Static = volume base layer, Static (no effect) = accent layer. Reads as professional vs DIY at viewing distance.

What this mini-light string works with

Chain limit
Up to 5-7 strings end-to-end per the in-line fuse at the supply plug. Exceeding blows the fuse.
Power
Outdoor-rated GFCI outlet. Use an outdoor timer or controller for on/off scheduling.
Mounting
Tree-wrap from base outward; bush-drape over the surface; architectural accent stake-clip or zip-tie.
Will NOT work with
TRIAC dimmers (mini-light strings are not TRIAC-dimmable), 240V circuits, direct burial.

How to install 50L 6″ Mini Lights

  1. Plan the run length. Sum the per-string lit length. At ~25 ft per string, plan tree/bush coverage accordingly.
  2. Pre-test before wrapping. Plug each string in BEFORE wrapping. Swap dead strings now — not after wrapping.
  3. Wrap from base outward. For trees, start at the trunk base and spiral outward toward the tips. For bushes, drape across the surface and tuck behind branches.
  4. Chain end-to-end at the integrated connectors. Up to 5-7 strings per chain. Don't exceed the in-line fuse rating.
  5. Power the end of the run. Plug into a GFCI-protected outdoor outlet and a LED-rated outdoor timer. Don't exceed 80% of circuit capacity per code.

Build quality + materials

  • Pro-grade LED bulbs — 5mm or coaxial-concave optic depending on variant. Sealed bulb construction resists moisture entry across multiple seasons.
  • UV-stabilized wire jacket — survives outdoor cold-climate exposure for the full residential season; pull at takedown for 5+ seasons of clean reuse.
  • Static (no effect) hardware circuit — effect runs without a separate controller — plug and play.

Warranty

1-year manufacturer warranty on 50L 6″ Mini Lights from Christmas Lights HQ. Covers manufacturing defect and bulb failure rates above 1% per season. Not covered: chain overcurrent (>max-in-series), damage from outdoor cold-climate without GFCI protection, year-round outdoor exposure beyond seasonal use.

Questions contractors actually ask

How many 5mm LED mini light strings can I connect end-to-end?

Up to 45 strings per run. At 4.8 watts per strand, that's roughly 216 watts on a single power tap — well inside the safe load for a 15-amp circuit with headroom for other strings on the same line. For most residential jobs you'll never hit the limit. On large commercial wraps, 45-string runs let you cover long hedge lines and tall trees without dragging multiple extension cords.

What's the bulb spacing and string length?

6 inches between bulbs on a 25-foot green wire, 50 bulbs per string. The 6-inch spacing is the standard for pro tree wraps — tight enough for full coverage on trunks and branches without gapping or doubling back.

Are these lights safe for outdoor use?

Yes. UL 588 listed for indoor and outdoor use. The one-piece sealed construction prevents moisture from migrating into the bulb-to-wire connection, which is the main failure point on cheaper mini lights after a season of weather exposure.

What does "pre-balled" mean and why does it matter?

Pre-balled means the string is wound into a self-contained ball ready for deployment — you anchor the lead, hold the ball, and walk it around the tree. No untangling, no time wasted on the lawn. Saves 5–10 minutes per tree on a busy install day, which adds up fast on routes running 50+ wraps.

How long do these LED mini lights last?

Rated for up to 50,000 hours of operation. In practical terms, that's longer than the wire, longer than the storage routine, and longer than the homeowner is likely to keep the same Christmas light service.
