Jason Geiman, founder of Christmas Lights HQ, on a permanent lighting install job

I install the systems I sell

Hi, I'm Jason Geiman. I scaled my install business from $0 to $1M+ before launching Christmas Lights HQ. Minleon was on the rooflines I installed. This Jumpstart Kit is how I'd stage a permanent install today — pick the footage, match the track color to the fascia, choose the controller for the job, and it ships as one staged box.

Not sure how to configure it for your job? Message me before you order — I'll walk you through footage, color, and controller.

How to configure your kit

This kit is built to order across three choices. Here's how to pick each one. Set footage, track color, and controller, then add to cart.

1

Footage — match the roofline

Choose 100, 150, 200, or 250 ft to match the roofline's linear feet. Small/single-story fits 100–150 ft; larger or two-story runs 200–250 ft. Between sizes? Size up — running short mid-install costs more than ordering bigger.

2

Track color — match the fascia

Pick the U-channel color that disappears against the trim: Black or Brown for darker fascia and shingles, Sand or White for lighter fascia and stucco, Gray as a versatile neutral. Same track and clip in every color.

3

Controller — match the job

WEC+3 Mini Dual for standard residential. Boss V2 when the router sits far from the install — its antenna extends range, plus a built-in scheduler. Dual Port to split a large job into two independent runs. All run Pixel Dancer, all drive up to 1024 lights per port.

Footage guide

Every footage is the same complete Deep Pebble system — more strand, track, and connectors as the footage grows. Match it to the roofline.

What's in the box

Every configuration ships as a complete, staged run. Here's what's inside.

RGBW+2 P50H Deep Pebble strands

Single-sided Deep Pebbles at 12" spacing on clear wire, sized to your footage. 24V, 4-wire, individually addressable. They seat in the included U-channel track for a permanent, finished roofline.

U-channel track + clips (your color)

The mounting channel that seats the Deep Pebbles, with clips, in 3-foot sections — in the track color you select. Track-only kit; add Smart Base for a 90° mounting turn.

WEC+3 controller (your choice) + 24V transformer

The controller you select runs the Pixel Dancer app for color, effects, and schedules — up to 1024 lights per port. The matched 24V transformer powers the run.

Spacers & connectors

The spacer cables and connectors to jump gaps and tie the run together, sized to the kit. Add extenders, tees, and boosters to branch or extend.

Why pro-grade permanent lighting matters

The difference between a consumer kit and a contractor-grade RGBW+2 system is what happens after season one — and how much a callback costs you.

1

One control platform for every fixture

Every Minleon fixture runs 24V, 4-wire, off the same WEC+3 controller and Pixel Dancer app. Start with this kit, then mix fixture types on one run.

2

Built for permanent, year-round installs

RGBW+2 Deep Pebbles seat in UV-protected U-channel track and mount with permanent hardware — rated to stay on the building through summer sun and winter cold.

3

Scales from one home to full commercial

A single WEC+3 controller drives up to 1024 lights per port, injecting power every 200 with a Power-T. Start with 100 ft; expand to a commercial building on the same platform.

4

Everything matched in one box

Strands, track, controller, power, and connectors sized to the footage — so you quote and stage a full install without sourcing parts piecemeal.

Common install scenarios

Real scenarios contractors hit when configuring a kit. Pre-answered with what to spec.

Run longer than 200 lights

A single controller powers about 200 lights before signal and brightness drop. Add a Power-T and a second 24V transformer to inject power mid-run — that gets you to ~400 on one controller, up to 1024 per port with more injections. On a big job, the Dual Port controller lets you split into two runs from the start.

Router sits far from the install

If the home's Wi-Fi is weak at the roofline, pick the WEC+3 Boss V2 — its antenna extends range so the app connects reliably from the ground, plus it has a built-in scheduler. For a standard install with good signal, the Mini Dual is all you need.

Job needs a 90° mounting turn

These kits are track-only. If the roofline needs the lights to turn 90° off a fascia or soffit, add the RGB+2 Smart Base in the same color as your track. Order the base footage to match the kit.

Frequently asked questions

Real questions contractors ask when configuring a permanent lighting kit.

How do I configure this kit — footage, color, and controller?

Three choices. First, footage: match the kit to your roofline's linear feet (100, 150, 200, or 250 ft). Second, track color: pick the U-channel color that blends with the fascia — Black, Brown, Gray, Sand, or White. Third, controller: the WEC+3 Mini Dual for standard residential, the Boss V2 when you need extended Wi-Fi range and a scheduler, or the Dual Port to split a large job into two runs. Select all three, then add to cart.

What footage kit do I need?

Match the kit to the roofline's linear footage. A small or single-story home often fits in 100–150 ft; a larger or two-story home runs 200–250 ft. When you're between sizes, size up — running short mid-install costs more time than ordering bigger.

Which track color should I pick?

Match the U-channel track to the fascia or trim so it disappears in daylight. Black and Brown suit darker trim and shingles; Sand and White blend with lighter fascia and stucco; Gray is a versatile neutral. All five colors carry the same track and clip.

Which controller should I choose?

The WEC+3 Mini Dual is the standard pick for residential runs — compact, app-controlled, dual output. Step up to the Boss V2 when the router or phone sits far from the install (its antenna extends Wi-Fi range) and you want the built-in scheduler. Choose the Dual Port when you need two independent runs from one control point — larger homes or light commercial. All three run the Pixel Dancer app and drive up to 1024 lights per port.

What's included in the kit?

RGBW+2 P50H Deep Pebble strands sized to the footage, U-channel track with clips in your chosen color, your chosen WEC+3 controller, a 24V transformer, and the spacer cables and connectors to tie the run together. Track-only — no base brackets.

Are base brackets included?

No — these are track-only kits. If the job needs a 90° mounting turn off the fascia, add the RGB+2 Smart Base from Track & Mounting in the same color as your track.

Can I expand the kit later?

Yes. Every kit is built on the same 24V, 4-wire RGBW+2 system, so you can add Deep Pebble strands, more track, spacer cables, a Power-T with an added transformer, and other fixtures anytime to extend or customize the run.

How many lights can the controller run?

Up to 1024 per port. A controller powers about 200 lights before you inject power with a Power-T and an added transformer; from each injection point you can add roughly another 200.
