How to install this kit
Pro-installer steps for the Patriot Crew Kit 1,000ft across a 5-home contractor route.
- Pre-stage at the shop. Cut 200 ft sections from the 1,000 ft spool for each of 5 homes. Pre-bulb each section with 200 bulbs (12″) or 160 bulbs (15″) in the R/W/B alternating pattern.
- Pre-clip each 200 ft section at the shop. Slide on 200 (or 160) Tuff clips per section. Wind onto a takeup reel for transport. Crew of 2-3 can pre-stage all 5 sections in 60-90 minutes.
- On-site: roll out + mount. At each property, unroll the pre-bulbed pre-clipped section along the gutter or shingle line. Snap clips section by section as you traverse the roofline.
- Route SPT-1 jumper wire to outlet at each home. 20 ft of jumper wire per home (100 ft / 5 homes = 20 ft each) bridges from install start to GFCI outlet.
- Test before crew moves to next property. Walk the run plugged in. Swap any DOA bulbs (rare with Minleon V2 — typical failure rate <0.3% per season).
