The C9 Replacement Socket (SPT-2) replaces a single bad socket on SPT-2 stringer wire without cutting out and re-splicing the whole run.

How Installers Use It

A cracked or corroded socket is one of the most common reasons a section of an otherwise good stringer goes dark. Instead of scrapping the run, cut the bad socket out and crimp this one in — it's a five-minute fix on a ladder instead of a full stringer replacement. Keep a pack of 100 in the shop stock so a service call doesn't turn into a trip back to the supplier first. Double-check the wire gauge before ordering — this fits SPT-2 only, not SPT-1.
