Does the Parapet Clip hold the bulb by itself?

No. It is the mounting base half of a two-part system. The Pro Clip Plus snaps into it and carries the bulb, so order the two together in matching quantities.

How does it attach to brick or stucco?

You choose the method for the surface and the job length: two-sided tape for seasonal work on smooth surfaces, screws or construction adhesive for rough masonry and permanent installations.

Should I buy black or clear?

Black for permanent installs, where it also weathers best visually on most commercial masonry. Clear works for seasonal jobs on light-colored trim and siding where you want the base to vanish.
