Wire spec

SPT-2 (0.045″ jacket) ONLY. Never on SPT-1.

Bulb count limit

Per circuit code, stay under 80% of the 8A rating. ~1,800 C9 LED bulbs theoretical per 15A residential circuit; split runs at 500-800 bulbs.

Routing

Last bulb of the run terminates here. No chain to downstream stringer.

Will NOT work with

SPT-1 wire (jacket too thin for SPT-2 teeth), chaining (use knockout-tab variant), 240V circuits.

How to install the SPT-2 female plug

1. Cut the SPT-2 wire flush at the line end. Don't strip the jacket. Slide-on plugs use IDC teeth.
2. Lay the wire into the plug body. Match the wire flat into the plug channel. Hot/neutral polarity established by how the wire sits in the channel.
3. Snap the cover. Press the cover until you hear the click. The IDC teeth bite through the jacket and lock to the conductor.
4. Test polarity. Walk the line plugged in. Use an outlet tester at the supply-end male plug to confirm hot/neutral.
