Need an SPT-1 zip cord 500 ft spool? Pros build their own extension cords from SPT-1 zip cord and Gilbert plugs. This spool gives a crew enough wire for custom-length cords and runs. Commercial grade, UL listed, outdoor rated. Ships from Burlington, KY. Free shipping on orders over $399.

Do not cut strings to length before you get to the house. Measure on site, then build.

What's on the spool

  • 500 ft of SPT-1 zip cord, 18 gauge, rated 7 amps
  • Good for runs up to about 2,000 ft of C9 LED at 12"
  • Green blends into rooflines and trees. Black works on dark trim and metal roofs.

When to choose 500 ft over 1,000 ft

  • You run a smaller crew
  • You have fewer homes on the books
  • You want less cash tied up in wire
  • You want a spool that is easier to carry up a ladder
