How to build an SPT-2 extension cord
- Measure the run. Add 6-8 ft per house corner for slack and turn-radius. Cut wire to length from the spool with sharp wire cutters.
- Strip nothing. Don't strip the jacket — SPT-2 slide-on plugs use insulation-displacement contact teeth that bite through the jacket when the plug cover snaps.
