This is the gear working contractors run on real rooflines. C9 and C7 LED bulbs, socket wire, clips, plugs, and complete pro light kits at contractor wholesale pricing. Most orders ship same day if placed before 2 PM ET. Free shipping over $349.

I started my Christmas light install company in 2014 and sold it in 2018. Four crews, $1M plus a year in revenue. I know what it costs to run out of clips in the middle of November, right when the season is running full speed. That is why this kit exists.

This is the 4,000ft Contractor Pack, the volume tier for multi-crew operations and big commercial bids. One box. 4,000 ft of C9 roofline, bulbs, wire, clips, plugs, and timers, done. Pick King Pro Bulbs or Minleon V2, then pick 12" spacing for the tight, full look most homeowners ask for, or 15" spacing to stretch your footage across a longer run with fewer bulbs.

This pack covers 20 to 26 average homes at 150 to 200 ft of roofline each. Push five houses a day and this kit is roughly a week of hard running for a multi-crew operation. Then you reorder and keep rolling.

Running a smaller route? Step down to the 2,000ft Contractor Pack. Need more than 4,000 ft locked in for the season? See the Wholesale Pack (12" Spacing) or Wholesale Pack (15" Spacing).

What's In The Box

Choose Your Spacing: 12" or 15"

Same 4,000 ft of wire either way. The spacing changes how many bulbs sit on that wire, which changes the look, the bulb count, and your material cost per foot.

Spec 12" Spacing 15" Spacing
Look Tighter, fuller. The dense look most homeowners ask for. Stretched. Full coverage, fewer bulbs, faster to hang.
Bulbs included 4,000 3,200
Clips included 4,000 3,200
Roof reaches per 100 ft 100 80
Price $6,777.00 $6,347.00

One reason I like 15": safety. At 15" spacing you reach over the roof edge 80 times per 100 ft instead of 100. Fewer trips to the edge, faster hanging, and a lighter case count to carry up the ladder. If that trade works for your crew, take the 15" option above. Most residential contractors still run 12" for the denser, more premium look.

Sell the magic. Deliver the box.

Here is what I teach every contractor: you are not selling lights. You are selling the moment your customer pulls into the driveway and the whole house glows. That is the magic. That is what they pay $8 to $12 a foot for.

This kit is the raw material for that moment, at scale. 4,000 ft is enough roofline to light a full route or a full commercial job without a mid-season reorder. Sell the magic to your customers. This box is how you deliver it.

The Money Math

Here is the number that matters. Residential C9 roofline installs run $8.00 to $12.00 per linear foot installed, materials, labor, takedown, and storage all included. This kit is 4,000 ft.

4,000 ft x $8-$12/ft = $32,000 to $48,000 in install revenue from a $6,347-$6,777 kit.

A few ways to look at that number:

  • Materials cost only, at contractor-grade pricing, runs $1.50-$2.00 per linear foot. For 4,000 ft, that is $6,000-$8,000 in raw components if you sourced bulbs, wire, clips, and plugs separately, plus a second order for timers and cord. This kit lands at $6,347-$6,777 and everything is already in the box.
  • Five houses a day at a $2,000 average ticket is a $10,000 day. I push $10,000 days hard with the contractors I coach. At that pace, across 20-26 homes, this kit is roughly a week of hard running for a multi-crew operation. Then you reorder with profit already banked.
  • A 50% deposit at booking (my own preference, and what I coach every contractor toward) on a $32,000-$48,000 route means $16,000-$24,000 hits your account before a single ladder goes up.
  • Takedown is already priced in. Do not quote it as a separate line item. Your customer is paying for lights up and lights down, once.
  • Storage is included if you have your own space to hold the gear between seasons. If you do not have storage yet, that is the one cost this kit does not cover, so budget for it separately.

I built and sold an install company doing exactly this math for years. The kit price is not the number that matters. The revenue it unlocks is.

Who This Kit Is Built For

The multi-crew operation. Two or more crews running 20-26 homes off one order, 150-200 ft per home. This is the volume tier for contractors who already have the season booked and need the materials locked before it gets tight.

Large commercial bids. HOA entries, hotel rooflines, storefront perimeters, multi-building properties. 4,000 ft covers a full large-commercial job in one box, no mid-install reorder.

Peak-season restock at scale. If you are mid-season and running multiple crews low, one Contractor Pack locks your materials cost for the busiest weeks instead of trickling in smaller orders at worse per-unit pricing.

Booking a smaller route? Step down to the 2,000ft Contractor Pack. Running the whole season across every crew you have? See the Wholesale Pack (12" Spacing) or Wholesale Pack (15" Spacing).

How The Pros Run It

This is the same route workflow I ran with my own crews. Five steps, in order.

  1. Pre-bulb and pre-clip at the shop. Never on the roof. Bulb and clip the full run at ground level before the truck leaves. Do not cut anything at the shop. Do not measure anything out. All cutting happens on the roof.
  2. Drop the pre-built string into a garbage can, not a tote. One 50-gallon can per crew. Totes are for off-season storage. On install day you pull the string straight out of the can as you go.
  3. Load the can, not loose strings, onto the truck. Can to the truck, truck to the job site, can to the ladder. Every hand-off stays organized. At this volume, run one can per crew and stage cans by route order the night before.
  4. Mount and cut as you go. Pull the string, run the gutter line, and cut at the exact point. If the gutter line is 73 ft, you cut at 73 ft. No pre-measured sections, no waste, no wrong lengths. Most homes run two plug pairs, one per side of the roofline.
  5. Route to a GFCI outlet and test before you leave. Walk the run live. Swap any dead bulb before the crew moves to the next house. Fixing it now costs five minutes. Fixing it on a callback costs a full trip.

New to running crews? A new contractor should block 4-6 hour install windows per home until the pre-build gets dialed in. An experienced contractor with a tight pre-build routine gets that down to 2 hours or less per home. Two-person crews install roughly 1.5x faster than a single installer, not 2x, so plan your crew count against your route accordingly.

Want the full system taught hands-on? Every purchase of this kit includes one free ticket to an in-person training event where I walk contractors through exactly this workflow, plus route efficiency and voltage-drop planning. Seats are first-come, first-served. You can also go deeper anytime through in-person training at ChristmasLights.io/ipt or the online training program at ChristmasLights.io/sp.

Grow Your Install: Compatible Add-Ons

What if you run short mid-install? Every item in this kit is also sold individually. Short on clips, wire, or plugs? Order the specific component you need with overnight shipping instead of waiting on a full kit restock: male Gilbert plugs or female Gilbert plugs.

Tree wraps and landscape beds. If your bid includes bushes or ground coverage alongside the roofline, add mini lights to a separate order: 4" 70L mini lights for tighter, denser spacing, or 6" 50L mini lights for tree wraps and general landscape coverage.
